We would like to thank you for supporting Shauna Barefield in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is making priceless memories with my children. I invest my time, energy, and even money I don’t always have because their happiness and success mean everything to me. I often put myself aside to make sure they have what they need, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Watching them grow, thrive, and chase their dreams is my greatest joy—especially with one in college and another graduating in May!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I’ll never forget is telling my kids, I don’t have it, yet somehow making it happen for them anyway. Seeing the joy on their faces makes every sacrifice worth it. My oldest even has me saved in her phone as Ms.MakeItHappen when I saw that, my heart melted. No matter what, I’ll always find a way for my children, because their happiness is my greatest reward. Although this mother stays tired, I always say, I’ll sleep when the good Lord closes my eyes. Until then I’m going to keep going.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d first donate to my less fortunate kids, then take my kids to Disney—something they’ve always dreamed of. I’d set aside money for each to invest in their future. I’d also book a spa day for me, my girls, & my mom—because she sacrifices so much for us & deserves the world. Making memories, giving back, & securing the future—that’s how I’d spend $20,000! Oh, I’d put something down on a new vehicle because my soccer mom van has been acting up, & we need it for all the game & activities! TGBTG!
