I work 2 vet tech jobs to provide for my family.I also run a small farm that takes in the “misfit” animals that people reject.
We would like to thank you for supporting Shannon McCarrell in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Nothing makes me more proud than watching my kids growing up and being successful at whatever they put their minds to. Watching them grow to become kind, caring, thoughtful individuals that I know will make a difference and make this world a better place, is the best gift a child can ever give their mom.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My children, aged 5 and 7, & I went to a park for an Easter egg hunt.It was over so quickly with all the larger kids gathering up all the eggs.My kids gathered quite a few.As we were walking back to our vehicle we saw a mother with 2 toddlers that were crying. We heard the mother consoling the kids as they didn’t find any eggs.My children walked up to the kids & started putting eggs from their basket into the kid’s basket. They gave the kids half of their own eggs! I cried,I was so proud!
What would you do with $20,000?My kids have gone without many things over the years.I had to buy used clothing/toys because I couldn’t afford the newest toys or ‘brand names’.They never complained, even when they were made fun of.Their friends go on family vacations and yes they ask to go,but never complain when I tell them that I can’t afford to take them. They are the best kids and deserve the trip that all kids dream of-Disneyland.That’s what I would spend the money on.They deserve it.
