The most rewarding part is watching my kids laugh and grow into brave, beautiful souls. My oldest son battles cystic fibrosis with incredible strength, and my youngest daughter, who has learning disabilities, keeps surprising me with her determination. Their smiles, their hugs, and every “I love you” remind me that no matter the challenges, I was chosen for this role — and it’s the greatest honor of my life. My kids teach me something new every day :)

I’ll never forget the moment they diagnosed my son with TB as a baby, and only gave him 5 months to live... He turns 18 years old this year! During a hospital stay, he looked at me and said, “Thank you for always being strong for me.” He was just a little boy connected to machines, but in that moment, he saw my love, my effort, my fight. That one sentence gave me strength I didn’t know I had and reminded me that even when I’m tired or overwhelmed, just showing up with love makes a difference.

I would invest in my children’s future — therapy and learning support for my daughter, medical care for my son with cystic fibrosis, and tools to create more stability for all of us. Most of all, I would use the funds toward a home — a safe, permanent space where my children can grow, heal, and thrive knowing they are protected and deeply loved every single day.
