Sarita Smith

It’s a miracle and blessing my little man and I survived his birth. We were both near death, but God had his own plan for us.

We would like to thank you for supporting Sarita Smith in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to tell my son I love him every single day. The hugs I receive everyday a walk through the door from him. My son is loving, caring, well mannered, and an honor student. He is an awesome kid. This is my reward for all the hard work as a single mother.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I told the doctor don’t worry about saving me, just please save my son. When I woke up in the recovery room after emergency surgery after surviving his birth. I remember asking “where is Zeke, is my baby alive?” I could barely walk, but I had to see him! And there he was just 3lbs, but strong as an ox. I just cried and cried thanking God for the greatest gift he has ever given me.

What would you do with $20,000?

Open up a savings account for him so he can have money saved for college expenses such as books, etc. And take him on a much needed well deserved vacation.
