Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my children grow into successful young adults mirroring the things I instilled in them. Sometimes, siblings of special needs children grow up resentful of their siblings. However, my children are selfless, humble, and strong adults. We have been through tough situations as a family however, we always made it work.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the day my daughters at the time, very young, helped me save the life of my severely handicapped son on numerous occasions. As a single parent, I struggled at times because I would have my handicapped son in the ER and my younger children would have to care for themselves in our van as we had no family members close. My two youngest daughters matured very quickly as they understood the extra care needed for my son. At times of ages 3 and 6, they would help change his diaper.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would be able to help and empower numerous women. I would hold a FREE event open to all women and mothers. This would be a full-day event including motivational speakers, creating vision boards, meditation, breath work, networking, and self-care. My goal is to remind moms they are MORE than just caregivers. They need to remember to take care of themselves, take time for themselves, set goals, and feel empowered because we are AMAZING!
