Raising my son Elias as a single mother, while working two jobs and attending college, is incredibly challenging, and yet I am managing.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sarah Revercomb in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mommy would be watching my child grow up and form his own little personality as he discovers the world around him.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?A memory of my son Elias I will never forget was when his dad left us and I was 20 years old isolated from all of my family and friends. I had no clue on how to completely care for a newborn while healing from a c-section 2 weeks prior. I begged Elias for his patience and love as we learned together.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would finally be able to breathe a little easier. I would pay off the months I had to rely on credit cards just to get by—those long weeks when I couldn’t work because my body was still healing from my C-section, and my son, Elias, was too young for childcare. That weight has been heavy on my shoulders. After that, I would use the money to stock our home with groceries, ensuring my family never has to worry about our next meal. I’d also pay off my car payment.
