Receive Text UpdatesI have the opportunity to break generational trauma, and raise the next generation of thoughtful, caring, intelligent humans who will hopefully make this world the place it should have always been. I have a best friend who reflects me and teaches me about myself, forcing me to grow as well. Since I believe it takes a village, I also take responsibility for any child I come across and get to be a positive influence whether being an example they don’t have at home or making sure they are fed.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget when my son was 3 and I was in my first year of medical school. Life was pretty hectic and I was studying constantly. My son saw my anatomy book on the table and started going through and turning pages saying “I’m studying like you mommy”. It was the first time I realized I was setting a positive example for my son regardless of all the “mom-guilt” I was battling.
What would you do with $20,000?There are so many ways I could use the money it’s almost unfathomable. I have some credit card debt I’ve accumulated during school that has been weighing on me. The loans you take out for medical school often won’t cover daycare costs and child expenses. I would also really like to start my own nonprofit organization that would offer house cleaning to those who need it most. I’ve surprised people with clean homes before, it’s uplifting to a struggling parent or someone battling depression.
