I am honored that I get to be part of their amazing stories and I get to plant seeds that will surely grow. I adore them and am blessed that they are in my life. I honor their 1st families and cultures and am rewarded by loving all of their family members.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?New favorite memory! Daughter graduating! The first in 3 generations of her biological family to do so. Her grandma gave her a star quilt and an Eagle feather as a cultural honor of her achievement! When I turned 50, we had a wonderful brunch and all of us were able to go attend a meal together without conflict. I felt so whole having 8 kids together that meant the world to me! Of course I can’t just say one adoption ceremony, because there are 5 but those all were so amazing!
What would you do with $20,000?I would address needs in my family’s home to make it more comfortable for the severe needs that we face with trauma and special needs. Mostly sound proofing, and sensory items to help address some of our children’s auditory functioning needs. Also, we are in desperate need of a large 12 seater van! We would love to all go on a trip. I can think of so many things! 20k of meat and eggs maybe? 🤔 haha! Bless you for helping CMN!
