I am a special education teacher and I’m a single mom of 6 children, natural, adopted, foster, and my nephew.
You decide who will appear in Woman's World magazine, enjoy a weekend getaway in Napa, and take home $20,000
My youngest (soon to be adopted) son has autism and was nonverbal at 3.5 years when he came to me. He was very unhealthy and underweight. He now, about 16 months later, talks nonstop, is at a healthy weight and full of life! I love helping children become all they are able to become!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My favorite memories are the simple, everyday memories, like all of us dancing to music in the kitchen while I make dinner and everyone laughing together to something funny someone says or does! We love to pack gallon sized ziplock baggies with water, uncrustables, granola bars, fruit, cheese, yogurt, Gatorade, and crackers, add in a note with an inspiring message, and distribute them to the homeless in our community. My kids really love this! We pray a lot, too!
What would you do with $20,000?I will use the $20,000 to take my kids on a fun family vacation to celebrate my 4 adoptions in just over a year, once the last is finalized in about June! They deserve it and it is worth celebrating! I also would like to fence in my yard to improve safety for the kids and dogs! I took in an abandoned dog in February and two months later, she had 5 puppies! So I need the fence! And I need a break! 🥴
