Loving and supporting my wonderful child with autism, I am an advocate for inclusivity for all neurodivergent children.
We would like to thank you for supporting Samantha Zamarripa in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Being a mother to an autistic child is a journey filled with profound rewards, despite the challenges that may arise. One of the most fulfilling aspects of this experience is the opportunity it provides for learning, developing patience, and fostering a sense of inclusivity for everyone, especially for neurodivergent children.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One precious memory I hold dear about my daughter is the first time she welcomed another neurodivergent child into a game. I was truly touched by her kindness and patience as she included them, and then invited me to join in as well. Watching her in that moment, I saw how she blossomed into a compassionate and thoughtful person. It filled my heart with pride to witness her genuine warmth and empathy towards others.
What would you do with $20,000?With the $20,000, I would create a more sensory-friendly playground for my daughter and her friends, ensuring they have a safe and joyful space to play and explore together. It’s important to me that all children feel included and comfortable, and I want to provide them with a nurturing environment where they can truly be themselves.
