Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Knowing that everything that I do as a mom has eternal impact. I’m only one person and can only do so much… but the five that I’m currently raising, training, influencing, and loving… they will go on to parent their own kids one day. And their kids will then eventually become parents themselves as well. Generation after generation will be impacted by how I (& all moms/dads!) parent. There is absolutely nothing greater I could be doing with my time! It’s an absolute joy.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Bringing our 5th kiddo home from the hospital to meet all of her siblings! We had just learned of her existence two days prior when we received a call that our 15mo old adopted (through foster care) son had a baby sister be born. Introducing baby girl to her bio big brother & all other siblings was so special and sweet. The thought they would all be together for the rest of their lives felt really holy.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it for a down payment on a house. As I mentioned above, we grew from a family of 4 to a family of 7 in a little over a year and we have way outgrown our cute, but small 1,100 sq ft 3 bedroom house. We have one baby sleeping in a port-a-crib in our only indoor bathroom (thankfully we have 1 more outside!) & my husband & I have given up our bedroom for our kiddos & currently sleep on a pullout couch in our living room. We are praying for a larger home & this would help tremendously!
