Despite an 8 month layoff, our both having challenges w/ADHD, & being a single mom - I refuse to quit, even when I want to scream.

Seeing my son overcome. Miles has experienced quite a few challenges in his almost-10 years. Serious things - “Severe” ADHD, grief, moving states, having an uninvolved father, and so much more. His incredible growth is a testament to his hard work. And through it all, he’s remained the most compassionate human I know. He makes me so proud!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When I was in labor, I couldn’t dilate past a 9, and the doctor told me I had to have a C-Section. I completely fell apart - crying, and talking about I was scared that we wouldn’t bond. Devastated is an understatement. When they got him out, they quickly wrapped him up, brought him to my face. His eyes are brown now, but then, they were a deep grey-blue. We stared at each other and I introduced myself. All of my fears were quelled in that moment. He cried BIG when they took him away. Mama’s boy
What would you do with $20,000?Being a single mom is tough on your finances - I learned just how crippling it can be as I went through the layoff. I’d get us caught up, start the rainy day fund, get the house cleaned, give Miles’ room a makeover … and maybe a stargazing weekend in a tiny cabin for me!
