Being a single mom to my teenage son has been the hardest yet most rewarding journey. Despite the struggles, the joy of watching him grow into a respectful, thoughtful, God-loving, and socially conscious young man is priceless. He gives me purpose and fills me with pride. Motherhood is an honor—it’s my chance to pour love, kindness, and strength into someone who will carry that legacy forward.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?A memory I’ll never forget is when my son left for a semester in London—his first time away from me. He was 1 of 17 high school students chosen for a global ethics leadership program. Watching him go was emotional, but I knew it was a life-changing opportunity to shape his vision, mind, and worldview. He adjusted well, and I’m so proud of him, but I miss him dearly.
What would you do with $20,000?With the $20,000, I’d give half to my sister—a colon cancer survivor and single mom—to help pay her son’s tuition. From the other half, I’d donate to the homeless ministry at my church, then set aside the rest for my son to support his education and future.
