Roslyn Simpson

I’m a Super Mom because I not only raised my own children and prepared them for success, but others, as well.

We would like to thank you for supporting Roslyn Simpson in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching the growth of each individual as serving as a witness as they achieve success beyond their expectations. The joy they experience FAR outweighs the struggle it took to get there. Like I tell them all when they were young …I’d rather you hate me now and love me later THAN love me now and hate me later. My biologicals and my ‘adopted’ children always show up for me, check in with me and ‘give me my flowers’ every opportunity they get.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My brother, whom I raised after my mom passed when I was 28, received his offer for FULL scholarship to The Ohio State University…only to be outdone by being drafted to the NFL four years later! (He enjoyed a 13-year career, a rarity for the NFL)

What would you do with $20,000?

Take the whole family on a vacation, of course! We are rarely in the same place at the same time. My daughter is a weather anchor in Atlanta, my other daughter, the mother of my two grandchildren, is a nurse and Army Reservist, my son is a nationally-ranked high school athlete who graduates this year from high school. I have children 20 years apart so I’ve been putting in work for decades! One last family gathering before the ‘baby’ goes off to college would mean the world to all of us!
