I have been a single mom to my 2 great kids for the last 12/13 years of their lives. After my stroke almost 9 years ago they are my “why”.
We would like to thank you for supporting Reyna Hargis in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part for me has been watching my kids grow and mature through the adversity our little family has faced and become great people, advocates and friends to everyone in their lives. Seeing and being a part of my sons journey excelling in school and his music extracurriculars has been the greatest to witness and be a part of.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Them being indiduals and figuring things out for themselves that I've taught them when they were younger before my stroke. I will not forget the memory of taking them to Disney Land with my daughters Girl Scout troop the summer after my stroke. They had the best time and helped me throughout the trip and were able to make great new memories the 3 of us together despite the limitations I had.
What would you do with $20,000?I would put money aside for both of my children's college so that they would be able to attend with no worries. I would also use it for our living situation and hopefully take a small trip before my son graduates and my daughter's Senior year.
