Regina Summerville

My daughter is 5, and she means the world to me. Being a single mom, away from family is not easy, so yes I’m a proud super mom.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is witnessing your child grow, learn, and develop their own unique personality. There's an indescribable joy in knowing you've had a positive impact on their life and in the small moments of love, connection, and shared experiences that create lasting memories. It's the unconditional bond, the everyday acts of nurturing, and the pride in watching them navigate the world with your guidance that make motherhood so rewarding.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget when my baby took her first steps. I mean I was just busy cleaning and getting things in order around the house when I came into the living room and she just randomly started running to me with her arms opened wide. I knew in this moment I would never forget it because I went from on the go to happy and excited so quick. I stopped everything I needed to get done to cheer her on and just take that moment in and call family.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a single mom with $20,000, I’d prioritize creating a better life for my daughter and me by first setting aside funds to support my daughter’s education or extracurricular activities, helping her grow and thrive, while ensuring we have the resources to build a strong foundation for her future. I’d also look into improving our living situation by creating a more comfortable and stable environment for us, as well as paying off any high-interest debt to relieve financial stress.
