The most rewarding part of being a mom is the deep connection I build with my kids through a family-centered lifestyle. I love teaching them through everyday moments, such as cooking, gardening, household chores, family projects or even play. Watching their personalities and values grow as they overcome their challenges by choosing resilience, bravery, and kindness is empowering. Seeing the world through their eyes and feeling love reciprocated makes every “parenting” challenge worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Family is Forever. We lost our Papa in a tragic accident, and my then-3-year-old struggled to understand. Around the same time, we suspected Autism. The tragedy affected him in extreme ways, confirming our fears. We sought help immediately, and it’s been a long journey. But I’ll never forget when he described a visit from his grandfather in a dream—then taught his little brother that families are forever. My favorite moments are watching my children build relationships of trust and closeness.
What would you do with $20,000?As so many others, we have struggled in the economy to buy a home. My goal this year is to do just that, whether I win this or not. I am working tirelessly along side my husband to reach our financial goals so that we can provide a safe and comfortable home to raise our family in.
