What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I get to be a mom. I’m a former foster child who has been in foster care since I was Born. My mom did 7 years and my dad got 79 years. I’m just blessed I get to break the cycle and be the best mom I can be even with the struggles. Being a mom has done nothing but change my life. He saved me. Literally. I got pregnant and 15 and had him at 16. I believe in my heart and soul that if it wasn’t for him, I would be dead.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

His birth. I know one day he is going to be a great person, a great man and even better friend. He grew up with me and although I have made some mistakes I’ve always bounced back and showed him better, that there is better and that this life we were born into doesn’t have too define us but make us learn from everybody mistakes. Having no body I wanted to be like only showed me what I didn’t want to be.

What would you do with $20,000?

Currently my former foster mom was trying to get custody of my child. She even went as far as calling the police and trying to get my locked up in a mental facility for money. She took my car, my home and my heart from the betray that cut really deep. I have been a CNA since I was 16 and I just got a job. I would spend that 20,000 on a house and car for my son. I was in abusive relationship with his father and since I left it’s only been us. It’s hard to get back up when you’ve been kicked down
