Selflessly prioritizing my family’s needs - Working 2, sometimes 3 jobs to ensure those needs are fulfilled.
We would like to thank you for supporting Polina Arushanova in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Changing the narrative of what I knew of "mom". Growing and learning alongside my daughter, taking in every moment of togetherness with endless gratitude. Striving to raise a good human - getting back to the roots of kindness, acceptance, support, respect and above all else, LOVE. Watching her interactions and personality develop, being her biggest cheerleader along the way! We teach our children about life and our children teach us about what life is all about!
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? While my toddler might not remember some of our most impactful moments to date, I hope she captures the little things we do and carries them with her through her life. We do affirmations every night before bedtime. Her and I recite, "you are kind, important, smart, (super) funny, a good friend, patient, strong". Watching her tell her baby dolls and friends the same lights up my soul! I hope she remembers and reminds herself of the affirmations when it matters most.
What would you do with $20,000?I would first use it as a starting place to help propel my family out of suffocating debt that feels like it has no end in sight. Have a small space of breathing room to not go from one job to the next back to back days without seeing my little. I'd start a savings for her education/future. Fill up the fridge, stock the diapers (without counting pennies!) and get her started into an extracurricular activity, maybe our first family trip to Great Wolf Lodge!
