I’m a Christian and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
We would like to thank you for supporting Peggie Funny-Alston in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
When my two daughters were very young I instilled in them the love of God, good morals and values. The most rewarding part of being their mom was watching my two amazing and beautiful daughters grow into adulthood and using the principles that I instilled in them to continue the family’s rich legacy.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I just didn’t wanted to give my daughters ordinary names. I wanted their names to have a significant meaning. So, I did the work and I will never forget the memories of naming them. My oldest daughter’s name is Ayotunde (Ayo meaning joy and tunde meaning born again). My youngest daughter name is Kharlybia (Honoring her two grandmothers. Khar for Carrie and lybia for Olivia and putting them together is Kharlybia.)
What would you do with $20,000?I would first express my gratitude to God! Then share some of it with the organizations that’s near and dear to my heart. First the Sickle Cell Foundation (for my youngest daughter who is a sickle cell warrior) and the local Cancer Association (for me as a cancer survivor). Last but definitely not least I would save some to splurge on me.
