Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I have three sons and the bond that I have with them is very special. I'm very proud of them and I know that they love me unconditionally as I love them. I feel blessed to have my children and grandchildren. I have that connection that I feel only a mother can feel. That's the rewarding part of motherhood. I never feel alone.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Some of my most memorable moments were at my son, Jose's basketball games, when he scored points and I was so proud. Or when he played his violin or guitar in a school concert. When my oldest was awarded a scholarship to a college. When he won art contests. Seeing their report cards over the years. All of these things bring me pride and joy. Our vacations when they were little were amazing. There are so many moments that I have, but I can't mention them all, there are just too many.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay off my debts and make a few renovations to my home. With the rest I would take a vacation to Disneyland with my grandchildren to make some memories with them to remember me by. I am in very poor health and I want them to remember me when I'm gone. I'm on dialysis so I don't know how much time I have left, but I'm going to make the most of it.
