Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing that I am a safe place for my children. That the home I build, the atmosphere I cultivate, and the love I show will forever be their beacon. That the way I treat and raise them will have the biggest impact on the wonderful human beings they become. My favorite part of being a mom is, when my children are afraid, they run to me. When they need comforting, it is my arms to which they run. When they feel accomplished, I get to celebrate them.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One of my favorite memories is when my son was much younger. We lived right by the train tracks and every time he would he the train coming, he would yell “choo choo!” I would wrap him in a warm blanket, scoop him up and head out back to watch the train go by. Every time it passed by us, he would grasp onto me so tight and his little body would shake. He was so amazed by the sheer size and sound of it all. I miss those days.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 dollars, I wouldn’t buy a fancy car or clothes. I would take my children on a special getaway, something they’ll always remember. What is the point in having money if not to create lasting memories?
