Ottreya Bond

What makes me a Super Mom is strong faith with two children and a daughter battling schizophrenic symptoms. We seek to be all God purposes.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being loved and seeing the world through pure eyes which makes me be thankful for things I overlook. Everyday I get to be apart of two beautiful lives and have a seat at God’s plan to the world through my children. They challenge me to be a better person and to think about things in a fresh way. I look at all the things my children have overcame and I am grateful for gratitude. My son is a young aspiring Actor and watching him on stage and be so dedicated and talented is extremely rewarding.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

During a winter snow day I took my kids to their school for a practice with their slide ride in the snow and we went up a hill so my son got in the slide and pushed without my daughter getting in behind him to for added weight. My son was only around the age of 6 so the slide took off and he went yelling Yayyyy but me and my daughter were in surprise because the slide went off so fast and we went running behind him trying to grab the slide hoping he wouldn’t get hurt. We laughed at that memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it for my children’s college education and down payment to purchase a home. We’ve move around often because of the cost of renting being expensive and ever changing, I would like my children to have housing stability. We also have a car that has problems from time to time and need it to transport my daughter to mental health appointments so I would look for a more stable vehicle. I also want to start a support group for Mom’s with children of disabilities and mental health challenge.
