I’m powerful, valuable, and necessary—for such a time as this.I am God-fearing and deeply rooted in faith. I love my family they are my why
We would like to thank you for supporting Onekia Grier in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing your child grow into who they’re meant to be—and knowing you had a part in shaping that journey. It’s the little things: the “I love you” out of nowhere, the tight hugs, the proud moments when they accomplish something big or small, and even the moments when they mimic your kindness, strength, or compassion. It’s watching love in its purest form grow right in front of you.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I was sitting on the edge of my bed, tears silently falling, hoping my daughter wouldn’t hear. But she did. She walked in, sat beside me, and without hesitation, wrapped me in her arms. “You always give so much of yourself to everyone else,” she said. “You are deserving of love too, Mom.” That moment reminded me that even when we feel invisible, our children are watching and loving us just as fiercely as we love them.
What would you do with $20,000?First, I’d catch up on my bills .Just to know everything is current and covered would bring peace I haven’t felt in a long time.I’d pay my tithes, because no matter how much or how little I have, I know where my help comes from. I’d put money aside for my daughter’s riding lessons. She’s on the equestrian team at her university, and those lessons are costly but seeing her pursue her passion is priceless to me. I’d finally be able to publish my other children books and devotionals.
