Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mom is seeing the world through your children’s eyes as they learn new things. It’s like getting to live and grow up all over again. It’s the best feeling seeing them become smarter, stronger, and more independent. I can also count on my kids to immediately make me happy again regardless of the type of day I’ve had at work. It’s the most amazing feeling knowing I’ve created children with such positive and radiant personalities.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget is when I just had my son. It was so difficult for me to move around and do things. My daughter was only 2 years old and was always so helpful with her baby brother I never even asked. I told her she doesn’t need to help me because that’s my responsibility but wanted to and doesn’t like to see me in pain or sad. As crazy as it sounds my daughter helped me with my postpartum depression at the time and I didn’t feel alone at all.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would put up a good amount of it in my children’s bank account. I have already started saving money for them to go to college. I wasn’t able to finish because I couldn’t afford the tuition. My parents did not have the ability to save money and when my father passed away I know my mom was just trying to survive. I want my kids to have a successful start in life. I would also finally finish college to be an X-ray technician & even start a business to continue generating wealth for my family.
