The most rewarding part is leading by example. Showing my kids strength, resilience, and dedication. Being a woman in not one but TWO male dominated fields. Illustrating to my daughters nothing is impossible. And to my son, learning respect, independence, and the value of hard work. My kids have shape me to be the person I am today. So much that I was given my “ring name” LA MADRINA ( The god mother) from the kids in free boxing program I manage, targeting troubled youth.

Though my children are very close they are COMPLETELY different individuals. I’m sure my son’s memory is being able to walk me out for one of my fights. Just being included on a professional televised event. From the trainings to the actually fight. My girls, I would say is taking them to their first Broadway show. When they expressed interest in musicals we got all dressed up and it was only right for their first show to see WICKED. They prepared weeks in advance and knew all the songs.

Honesty, After making sure the kids have what is needed for their sport(s) up coming season. Anything left over is going into their savings and making my contribution to NYC Cops & Kids boxing program. I believe in investing in our communities, we must be the change we want to see in the 🌎 🫶🏻
