Nikkaela Aniken De Guzman

We’re all super moms, but I never had that parental role model growing up. So I vow to be one for my daughter AND any other child.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing the smile in my daughter every single day. I’m her person, her role model, her safe person. The moment I became her mom, everything just makes sense. Life became complete. I thank my daughter everyday for allowing me to be her mom.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The moment she was born. She and I could have died when I was giving birth. I remember the pain, the desperation, and the fear that lead to an emergency c-section only to feel an intense amount of love and relief seeing my daughter alive and well. That this little baby came out of me.

What would you do with $20,000?

My daughter has apraxia. She’s only 5 years old. This $20,000 would her with speech services and to help with costs. Because of her apraxia, she deals with frustration daily from people who don’t understand her. She expresses well through art. I’d love for her to take art lessons, buy art supplies for her, and have her take classes that brings the creative side of her whether it be art, dance, or music.
