What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being a mom is being the real life caretaker and role model for a new generation of humans. I love that I get to experience firsthand the new mind of my growing son and his friends as they develop more of their personalities everyday and they grow their own compassion and understanding of humanity and the world we live in. That it’s our job to be stewards for nature and the next generations of people to come after.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the way my son remembers the smallest details. I once told him a long story about my family and specifically his uncle who passed away. I didn’t think he would remember everything I said to him but some weeks later he asked me some questions about his uncle, and what he liked. I was shocked and proud and grieving, that so early on my son was helping me heal and letting me in on his complicated thoughts all at once.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’ve always dreamed of owning my own business, right now I see the demand for affordable kids clothing that comes in a rainbow of colors but the cuts and styles are unisex so we don’t have to worry about wether the girl clothes are different than the boys’. Being a girl shouldn’t mean skinning your knees more than a boy because the fabric is too thin on your pants, or you miss out on education to change because they don’t even make shorts that pass the dress code.
