What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to re-experience the world through my kids' viewpoint. They teach me something new each day, and remind me to be youthful and always enjoy playing. I am a School Psychologist and School Counselor where I have learned so much about human behavior. However, being a mom has given me more knowledge, empathy, and understanding to not only navigate parenting, but be the best I can be for every one of my students (K-12th) and the staff I work with.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Last summer, my husband and I took our two boys to my in-laws lake house. We spent a long time sitting on the dock watching the sunset. It was so peaceful. I just listened to my oldest tell stories, ask questions, and we laughed. My boys thrive near water and it was such a great memory with them.

What would you do with $20,000?

I am not sure. The realistic person in me would want to save it for security. However, the dreamer in me would love nothing more than to experience a family trip somewhere. I know my husband and I would love to take our boys somewhere to see the world. Maybe Hawaii, which is a special place to my husband and I, or somewhere overseas to experience a new culture and a place where they can take in the natural beauty of a new country.
