What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is seeing my son care for me at his age the way I have and still do for him. I suffer from migraine aura which unfortunately gives me stroke like symptoms. My son jumps to actions each time to care for me. Also, when I pick up my daughter, who is 6, from school or daycare, she always runs to me and hug me with such excitement. She looks at me with so much love and security. This only reminds me that every struggle, trial and tribulations, they make it all worth it!!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The day my daughter was born. Her father went to pick up our son from school to give him the news and take him to the hospital. My son was 13 at the time, and his teacher told me that when the announcement speaker came on congratulating him on becoming a big brother, he had jumped up from his seat screaming “yesssssss!” When he got to the hospital he took his baby sister from my arms and sat on the chair just staring at her with such excitement in his eyes. He looked at her with so much love!

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, invest in a car so I can generate a second income and pay off my son’s college tuition. He received a full scholarship for St. John’s University but unfortunately it’s a set amount. So each year the tuition goes up, that set amount only covers a certain portion. The remaining portion I have to pay, each semester. I’ve been struggling to make ends meet and make sure his tuition is paid in full so he doesn’t have to worry about any loans his first four years.
