The most rewarding part about being a mom is watching your children grow mentally and emotionally. Seeing them implement what you have taught them on a daily basis, whether it be routines, responsibilities, classwork, chores, or helping one another in any aspect, it’s a very heartwarming feeling to see them acting independently and responsibly.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

A memory of my kids that I will never forget is their smiles when we were getting on a plane together for the first time to Disney. I hadn’t been able to take them on vacation in years because I was supporting their father financially and couldn’t save money. After separating from him I was able to get my finances in order and book the trip. The look of excitement they had as we boarded the plane filled me with so much emotion, I cried happy tears. The flight attendant thought I was crazy lol

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 I would put a down payment on a house in a safe neighborhood where my children have space and room to play and build bonds with their friends from school and within the community we live in. I would also take them on vacation to Tokyo, which is something they’ve always wanted to do, due to their partial Asian heritage and love of anime and Asian culture. Lastly, I would get a life insurance policy and create a trust fund for them to have financial security if anything happens to me.
