Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Where do I begin?... One of the greatest rewards is discovering what real love is. I thought I knew before my baby, but I was so mistaken. He just had a birthday, seeing his growth, awareness, and personality unfold is everything. To witness this beautiful little human, who grew inside of me, in the flesh, is an indescribable feeling of warmth and excitement. He chose me to be his mom, and that is the greatest blessing of all.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I had Q a few weeks earlier than expected, the oldest daughter in me did NOT plan for that! I felt scared, I wasn't sure if I was ready or good enough. After I gave birth, everything was overwhelming. Then, the pediatrician came in, stopped mid conversation, and said 'I have no issue handing this baby over to you. You're already a good mother. 'Mom is smart' is what she wrote on my board, I was given a warm embrace into motherhood, one I didn't receive from my own mom. I'll cherish that forever.

What would you do with $20,000?

I had to fight for our safety at the end of last year, in turn we were displaced. With $20,000, I would rebuild-securing stability for Q and I, setting aside funds for his future, and paying for massage therapy school. I'd invest in my business, finally publish a book or two, and release the documentary that's been on my heart for years. I would also take a flight to the UK to find my little brother. More than anything, I just want happiness and a fresh start for me and my son. We deserve that
