I’m a 24yr old first time mom to my rainbow baby and learning how to balance school, work and maintaining a healthy relationship. I love it‼
We would like to thank you for supporting Nakiya Patterson in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a first-time mom who works and goes to school is the incredible growth and little accomplishments. Balancing these roles builds resilience, teaches time management, and builds my character and purpose. The love and bond with my son grows deeper every day, and seeing him hit his milestones while I also work toward my goals is empowering. It’s challenging, but each small success feels like a victory and ai love every second of it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I honestly can name several memories in only the span of 4 months. Just to say a couple I’ll never forget how he began to recognize his dad and I faces and begin to start smiling. It made my heart so full because now he can see the faces of who loves him the most. Ever since then morning wakes means so much to me, I enjoy watching him open his eyes and I’m the very first thing he sees.
What would you do with $20,000?I honestly enjoy supporting others peoples dreams, so I would help my boyfriend establish his trucking business. He has helped me so much during my postpartum sadness phase. It would mean so much to me to see him succeed. I would also create a savings for our son’s future and to give the best advantages as possible and use the rest to pay for my schooling.
