Nadiyah Shereff

As a mom I sacrifice sleep, personal time, and comfort to work two full-time jobs so my kids can chase their dreams in school and sports.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is showing them that dedication pays off. I teach them that you work hard, you play hard, and I make sure to reward their dedication with mini vacations throughout the year. Seeing their joy, knowing they understand my sacrifices aren’t in vain, and leading by example every single day, that’s what makes it all worth it.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory I’ll cherish forever is taking my kids back to where I grew up. As a Katrina survivor, leaving everything behind and rebuilding in California was one of my hardest challenges. The struggle was real, but so was the resilience. Returning home, showing my kids my roots, and sharing the strength it took to rise again was unforgettable. It wasn’t just a trip—it was a lesson in perseverance and a reminder to never forget where we come from. Seeing them connect with my journey made it all

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I’d use it to buy a home—a place of stability, love, and a legacy for my kids. I’d also invest in life insurance, not just for security but to teach them an important lesson: life has been a struggle, but I never gave up on giving them the best future possible. If I’m no longer here, my spirit will live on in them and through the home I built with love and sacrifice—a reminder of my hard work, dedication, and the unbreakable foundation I created for them
