Michelle Johnson

I am a mom to two beautiful kids, but I feel like I am a mom to many more. I work in mental health and have always advocated and supported.

We would like to thank you for supporting Michelle Johnson in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I’ve always wanted to be a mom and have my own family since I was a little girl. The most rewarding part of being a mom is being able to conceive and carry my babies. Having some health issues and chronic conditions like type 1 diabetes being pregnant was a challenge. The most rewarding part of being a mom is experiencing the ups and downs of motherhood. And knowing that I have the best kids ever. I’m not perfect but my kids love me so much and that’s all any mom could ever ask for.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory that I will never forget of my kids is the one time we went flying kites and I flew it too good. My daughter’s kite kept falling and she couldn’t get it to stay up. I was running and showing her how to let out more string as you ran and ran into I believe a tree. She did learn how to fly a kite that day and also to look where she was running. My son also learned that super mom can’t get a kite out of a tree. But we had fun and my kids would always look forward to windy days!

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 can help with so many things. Like helping to pay-off student loans, getting my own vehicle, working on restarting, getting my own place even if just an apartment, being able to spend more time with my kids, doing something special with my babies, going on a much needed vacation, treating myself to some me time… I don’t know there’s so many ways this could be a blessing. I just hope I am ready for this blessing if I receive it…
