I am a mom of two. My son is 25 and my daughter is forever 11. She passed six months after tumor in brain. Now I help other families like us
We would like to thank you for supporting Michela Haywood in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Watching my son become the man he is today. For my day was watching her face the worst thing that could ever happen to a child death. She was so strong and courageous. I draw my strength from my daughter and my son. How my daughter fought cancer and how my son stood by his sister’s side through her fight. Never giving up the fight to the very end.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Watching my son talk to his sister about how much he loved her and that he would never stop fighting for her. As we knew she only had days left to live. They loved each other so much.
What would you do with $20,000?I would first help my son with his wedding cost. Then I would donate some to our foundation that I run to help other families like us who have a child fighting DIPG or Childhood Brain Cancer here in Hawaii.
