Melody Copeland

No matter what life has thrown my way - & it been A LOT, my kids (grown & small) come FIRST. Everything I do, is for their benefit.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Looking into their eyes, knowing all 4 of my offspring are direct gifts from heaven, I see beyond just eyeballs. I see parts of me, God & their eternal souls staring back at me. What an honor to be able to raise them, teaching all I can about God, life, love & the pursuit of happiness. To see them thriving as wholesome, caring, kind, respectful, respectable & intelligent humans in a world full of hate and evil, standing for truth & justice for all, far outweighs all the hard work & sacrifices.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Just last year, I had to leave my second marriage. All four of my children (2 in their 20’s; 2 under 10) rallied together to support me in a way that is impossible to put into words. Their constant hugs, kisses, visits, phone calls, texts, prayers, encouragement & quality time spent together during such a challenging time is what saw me through. I couldn’t have done it without them. Period.

What would you do with $20,000?

Pay off my minivan which is falling apart so I can get into something more reliable, get caught up on bills, move into a better space, help my oldest son as he’s graduating college this semester and getting married, & if I have any leftover, get into the studio to record some of my songs.
