I was a single parent for 7 years before meeting my husband. I was able to build a business and a buy them a home with little to no help.
We would like to thank you for supporting Melina Escalante in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding of being a mother is seeing their accomplishments, enjoying out little moments together, and witnessing them grow up to be their own person. All my 4 little children are different from each other, but I love how each of them are developing their own amazing personality and talents that are only going to flourish more in time. So the most rewarding part of being a mom is able to witness all these amazing things happening as they grow.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Besides their birth :) one core memory is when I was a single mother, I worked 3 jobs to save to buy them a house. Even though it wasn't the fanciest home, it was our home. A home where they each would have their own space and where they can run around, and have their own backyard to play. I cried the day I got the key to my home. And I cried harder when I saw the excitement of my children's faces that they have a home.
What would you do with $20,000?20,000 is a lot of money. I would put $10000 away in savings because at the moment, we are caught up with all our bills and responsibilities, but we don't have a savings account for an emergency. We would then fix our fence. Due to the high winds, it knocked over our fence so our children don't have privacy. We would then to a little family giveaway. We need it. My 5 year old has autism and adhd, and its been hard. So a small getaway can help our family.
