Receive Text UpdatesThe most rewarding part of being a mom is being involved in their passions, my son was band. I was the president of boosters and participated in every event, I was a mom to those whose moms weren't able to make it. Being an ROTC mom for my daughter and watching her serve the community. My new journey is PTSA president for my daughts vocational school. I truly enjoy participating in my children's world, it let's them know they matter.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My daughter was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency in 2023, this was life changing for both of us. We have spent the last 2 years trying to make sure she can one day be a mother. The journey of getting diagnosed was emotional and tragic. There were times when doctors made me feel like it was in my head. After diagnosis it was so difficult to find a reproductive endocrinologist who would see her due to her age. After 3 cycles we were able to store an egg. She calls it her golden egg.
What would you do with $20,000?I want to bring awareness to Premature Ovarian Insufficiency by starting a website geared toward young girls, raise money to help with fertility treatments and scholarships for incoming doctors to learn about POI. The website will be educational and will have links to physicians and current studies, very little is known since it only effect 1 in 10000 girls. I hope to help other girls going through it. Possibly encourage woman to donate their eggs and help woman with POI become mothers.
Help Melanie Hoard become the next Super Mom while also helping support Children's Miracle Network in their commitment to save the lives of as many children as possible.
