Teaching my two little girls that with a little faith, a little hope and a whole lot of love, we can do hard things.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My greatest memory with my girls is the moment they met each other. My oldest was a few weeks shy of turning 5. She was beyond excited to have a new playmate, a new best friend. I did not know how to introduce or explain to her that her new playmate was born with special needs. As I laid little sissy in big sissy’s arms, I saw her smile and light up. I then knew life was going to be ok and the love they would share would be more than special.

What would you do with $20,000?

My husband, daughters, parents, close friends have made many, unplanned sacrifices in their lives to accommodate me and a breast cancer diagnosis. Life as we knew it was shattered. The love, support they have given me; continue to give is what keeps me going. I really appreciate the sacrifices made and would use the $20,000 towards a much needed vacation for us all! (And towards debt accumulated from treatment).
