My son and I are on our own. I had him in Florida, 1K miles away from family. We made it back to St. Louis and we are living our best life!
We would like to thank you for supporting Megan in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is healing my inner child by giving my son the kind of relationship I never got to experience. My mom passed away when I was 5, and when I found out I was having my son, I doubted my ability to be a strong woman and a good role model since I didn’t have that growing up. But seeing him learn from me and embrace me as his mother is the most fulfilling feeling in the world. Just knowing that he loves me unconditionally means everything to me.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One of my favorite memories with my son is taking him to his first Kansas City Chiefs game. Last season, we watched football together every Sunday, and I taught him everything I knew. He’s only 3, but he loved it. I was able to take him and my dad to the last home game of the season, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. He watched almost the entire game, chanting “Go Chiefs” and doing the tomahawk chop. It was incredible to see his excitement. I want him to know that his dreams are achievable.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won $20K, I would put $5K into a high-yield savings account for my son to start building a strong foundation for his future. I’d use $10K as a down payment on a home so we can finally own our own space instead of renting. The remaining $5K would go toward taking him to Disney. We moved from Florida back to St. Louis to be closer to family, so giving him that magical experience with his favorite characters would mean the world to me. A vacation with my little one is an absolute dream.
