As a single mom I take on a lot of extra responsibilities. I get the kids to and from school while still kicking butt in my career!
We would like to thank you for supporting McKenzie Hollett in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is when I get to support them through their adventures and also through their more difficult moments. When I get to see them thriving and working towards their goals but also failing and coaching them through trying again. The feeling of knowing I am raising kind, polite, hardworking human beings for the next generation is like nothing else.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My kids are still pretty young, both 5 and under. My favorite experience thus far has been getting to watch them learn new skills. My daughter is learning to read in kindergarten, so helping her read the bedtime stories is such a heartwarming experience. My son played “I Spy” with us for the first time this morning and I was so proud of him. I find pride and joy in the smaller achievements I get to watch them accomplish.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I would have enough money to put a down payment on a house for my family. We would take up roots somewhere that my kids could call their forever home and a safe space for them to interact with family and friends for a lifetime.
