Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a parent is seeing my kids become confident, driven young adults! I had to be independent early on—my mom struggled with addiction, & I grew up fast. I had my son at 17 and my daughter at 19, and it was my deepest prayer to give them a better life. Now, at 15 and 17, they’re thriving in ways I only dreamed of. Watching them succeed is proof that love, faith, and purpose can change everything.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory I’ll never forget is our first cruise to Cozumel and Yucatán, Mexico!! We swam with dolphins, capturing moments in photos - expensive photos lol - to cherish forever. Dinner was a blast, especially dancing with our waiter. But the highlight?! Maddy winning The Price Is Right game! She won all the Hasbro games and a free store voucher. We haven’t cruised since, but she wants to go on another this year for her birthday so I’m praying I can make that happen.

What would you do with $20,000?

When (speaking it into existence) I win $20,000, I’ll pay my tithes first, then invest in my family’s future. I’d open savings accounts for my kids, buy my son a car for graduation, and take care of home repairs to keep our space welcoming & comfortable. More than anything, I want to build stability and generational wealth—something I didn’t grow up with. This blessing would help me continue planting seeds of love, faith, and security for my children’s future.
