Marisa Montelongo

Hi there! I am a single mom of three boys, a full-time student, and I work six days a week! I own a cape, and I don’t complain!

We would like to thank you for supporting Marisa Montelongo in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom for me is witnessing the daily growth and development of the incredible lives I brought into this world. Although parenting can be challenging at times, I know that without my children, I would feel lost and lack purpose. The most fulfilling moments come from seeing their happiness and their smiles. Knowing that I have raised kind and good-hearted individuals reassures me that I have done right by them.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory that stands out to me is from our trip to Galveston Beach during spring break this past year. The kids were so excited to play in the sand, and they spent the entire day building sandcastles. I realized that this experience would become a core memory they would cherish for the rest of their lives.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I would definitely put most of it into a fund for the kids. It would also help me pay off a few bills. As I mentioned, I’m currently in school, and I'm striving to be better for them every day. I could really use the support, and it would be a huge relief for me.
