We would like to thank you for supporting Maria Muscarella in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Hearing my baby laugh. When everything feels like it’s going wrong, or I feel like I’m not a good mom, hearing my daughter laugh reminds me that everything is okay. It reminds me that I have a happy and healthy baby and that’s really all a mom could ask for.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Watching my daughter take her first steps.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay off the debt I’ve accrued from being a stay at home mom. We couldn’t afford for me to go back to work as an EMT. Especially living outside of Atlanta, GA, the cost of childcare was more than what I was making as an EMT. Although I have been a stay at home mom for the past year and a half, that doesn’t mean the bills didn’t stop coming. That would be a tremendous help to pay off this debt and hopefully put us a step closer to buying a house I can raise my kids in.
