I want to make sure my daughter grows up in a world where she can do anything that is right in her heart.

We would like to thank you for supporting Maranda Davis in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Realizing how capable I am by having her love push me to accomplish my dreams. I want to make this world a better place for her. She helps me discover who I am and why I am here. In return I teach her to ride above the fear and be that to the truest depths. You have to lead by example, but know she will be everything you are and more. Having the gift to teach her these things daily, is the most rewarding part of being a mom.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

When my daughter was 9 months old I took her on a cross country trip with my two dogs and my friend and her Dalmatian! Being a single mom is a struggle, but I work hard to give her a life of adventures. When you travel with a child they are learning things hands on. This is very difficult sometimes being out of your comfort zone; but needless to say I got to breast feed my girl in a TP by outside a national park under the stars, but we hiked in parts of the Rocky Mountains, and much more.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would first set back $10,000 in a fund for her to start a business, go to school, or something to fund her dreams for when she is older. Second, I would pay off some debt and school loans (I am also a full time student) to relieve stress in our lives. I would like to fuel back into my small business as an artist at the moment so my work brings in more revenue for us. Then we can finally travel abroad, exploring the world with my daughter, and leaving behind little pieces of our art.
