What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I discover a new “most rewarding thing” every day! Right now, greeting my daughter in the morning and seeing her smile with excitement to start the day is my favorite moment. Next, I love “testing” her to see what she’s learned! Body parts, animal noises, new words, etc. The smallest victories make me so proud to be her mom. I truly find joy in motherhood every day, even the difficult ones.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the first time she called me mama and ran over to me. She had babbled mama and dada plenty of times, but unintentionally, and this time was different- she spotted me from a distance, yelled “mama!” and ran straight over to me. It was the most heartwarming thing as a first time mom to know my girl knew exactly who I was.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay off my student loan debts and allow for more money to make memories with my family. I grew up making memories traveling with my dad, and when he died after my daughter was born, I promised I’d give my kids the same memories. Unfortunately, with the climate of today’s world, debts really make these things harder, so this money would allow me to fulfill my promise to myself and my child.
