I’m a single mom, I work a full time job and my mother died when I was young. They say it “takes a village”, and my village is nonexistent.
We would like to thank you for supporting Madison Alford in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is the feeling of being loved. I’ve never felt love the way I do with my children. It’s a bond that cannot be broken. Being able to tuck my kids in to bed, and wake them up each morning and help them through life is the job I was meant to do. It’s what I live for. Nothing is more rewarding than motherhood.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?A memory I’ll never forget is birthing both my daughter and my son. I was alone for both pregnancies and deliveries. It was a life changing moment. Watching them grow and change each year has been so special to me. I grew up without parents to raise me. I was adopted by my aunt who passed away with cancer in 2019. I strive to be the best mother I can be each and every day.
What would you do with $20,000?I have student loans and many other loans which have me in debt. As a single mom, it’s extremely difficult to pay my monthly bills so having copious amounts of debt makes life even more challenging. I don’t receive any help from family of my children’s father so I am doing it alone. I would use the 20,000 to help me pay off my loans and I would use it to put myself in a more suitable financial position so I can be the best mother I can be.
