Liz

I have always found a way to get us through hard times. I have been able to put on a strong face for my girls even when I worried the most.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The unconditional love and support I receive from my children and how I know that I am raising incredibly strong, resilient, and kind young women. Everyday I am proud to say that I am their mother!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Watching my 18 year old daughter get her 1,000th point for her high school basketball career this year for her senior year. The whole crowd stood up and cheered for her and they stopped the entire game, JUST FOR HER! That was her moment, one that she deserved so, so, so much! Her whole life has been dedicated to basketball, she and I both were so proud of all her hard work and dedication up to that point! She put in a lot of hours and miles for that moment and I was right there with her.

What would you do with $20,000?

First, I would finally get my car fixed. We have been without a vehicle for the last year because I haven't been able to afford to fix it. I've been the sole breadwinner in my household for their entire lives basically. It just hasn't been feasible to afford repairs lately. Car or no car, I've still made it work. Then I would, probably take my little family on the vacation I've always dreamed of going on, but was never able to afford. We need some downtime to just relax for a change, as a family
