Lindsey Ashton

I believe what makes me a super mom is being present—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally also. They deserve our attention!

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The appreciation. My kids are so grateful for so many things, big and small, that are done with them. Whether expressed through a verbal “thank you” or the biggest hug you can imagine, they never fail to show their gratitude.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My kids and I say prayers together before bed every night. My five year old daughter squints her eyes so tightly and says, “so God, it’s me, Caroline. I know I have this house and bed to sleep in, but I pray for the homeless people who don’t have one, maybe they can just share mine when I’m not sleeping in it. Thank You, amen.”

What would you do with $20,000?

Twenty thousand dollars would free us up from so much debt, and allow us not to have to live paycheck to paycheck where we could book vacations as a family again and finally book a cruise that our kids having my begging us for years to take them on! It truly would be such a dream come true to see their eyes light up in doing so.
